Coaching

I hope to meet any challenge you are experiencing with tenderness and care. Some of the most frequent areas I coach mothers in are…

The power of small steps

-Increasing foundational capacity through micro-steps which pull you forward without efforting.

-How to bridge divergent parenting philosophies between you and a co-parent or others within your web of support.

-Alternative options for education and childcare when children are not able to tolerate school, or when school is necessary but a child doesn’t want to go.

-Supporting children and parents with highly sensitive nervous systems, including explosive and violent behaviors, burnout, inability to identify or communicate emotions and needs.

-Decision making processes that support learning, autonomy, liberation and care for the needs of everyone in the family

-Liberation from limiting patterns and habits such as over-estimating capacity, overstretching and understating needs, inability to accept or ask for support.

-Finding language to discuss challenging topics with children like sexuality, body image, identity, systemic oppression, violence and war, climate change and climate chaos and disasters.

-Creating agreement that everyone can keep about things like screens, household contributions, conflict and how you relate to one another.

-A needs based approach to neurodiversity: Softening judgments about limitations and accommodations, releasing societally imposed timelines, decoupling inherent human value from achievement.

1:1 Coaching

  • This is for...

One on one coaching is for those who are experiencing an urgent need for support, as it offers us focused time to address situations within your family that need immediate attention. If you are not needing immediate support, please consider my ongoing group coaching option where the experiences of others can amplify our learning and integration. Sessions are on an as-needed basis, I don’t offer packages.

  • I offer Online or In-Person Sessions (Olympic Peninsula)

Online via zoom or in-person forest or beach walk. Sessions generally last anywhere from 60-90 minutes, but please allow for a full 90 minutes so that our session isn’t constrained by “time.”

  • Supporting my sustainability

I long for all mothers to receive the support they need, regardless of their ability to pay for it. I also exist within the world as it is and need to meet my own material needs so that I can continue to do my work. I offer coaching in the spirit of the gift. If you are able to contribute to my sustainability, I ask that you pay as much as you are able to pay without over-stretching, or under-stretching. If your own material needs are comfortably met, I ask that you choose an amount between $125-$250 USD per session. If you are not able to access this offering due to your own sustainability needs, please contact me to se if we can find a mutually workable solution, or come to my group coaching sessions and offer whatever you are able to, even if the amount is zero. Everyone is warmly welcomed on my group coaching calls.

Ongoing Group Coaching

(Sundays at 12pm pacific)

  • This is for...

Group coaching is a weekly online offering where the experiences of others can amplify our learning and integration. You don’t need to do anything but ask to register and show up to the call. It isn’t necessary to email questions ahead of time, just show up. We will prioritize coaching for those who come with an urgent situation, and otherwise we figure out together where we will focus our learning for the call.

  • This option is currently online

Online via zoom. Calls last anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on need and collective energy.

  • Supporting my sustainability

I long for all mothers to receive the support they need, regardless of their ability to pay for it. I’m offering group coaching as a gift to anyone who wants to join. If you can comfortably offer money towards my financial sustainability, a range you could consider is between $50-$100 each month. If you would like to offer more, please do, and it will help increase the likelihood that I can continue to offer my gifts to those who cannot afford to offer money. If you can offer less or nothing at all, you are still strongly encouraged to join, and you are warmly welcomed.

FAQs

Do you offer coaching “packages”

No. We can’t know how long it will make sense to work together. Sessions are booked on an as-needed basis.

What is your cancellation policy?

I don’t have one. Shit happens and modern life is crazy. Please do your best to honor our session time. If you miss a session we will re-schedule. If a pattern of missing sessions emerges, I will ask that we discuss what support you need to be able to show up for sessions, and what we can do to care for my needs as well.

Does my co-parent need to be there for coaching? CAN my co-parent be there?

I work primarily with mothers (and bless that one day there will be a father who I adore offering coaching to other fathers). For 1:1 sessions, co-parents of all genders are welcome. For group coaching, I welcome all people who identify as mothers.

I’m confused about how much you charge.

I am experimenting with working within the maternal gift economy. Part of that is de-coupling giving from receiving. Rather than orienting to money and coaching as an exchange, I ask people to imagine freely receiving the gift of coaching from me. Then, ask yourself whether or not you are able to offer money towards my being able to continue to offer my gifts to the world without requiring an exchange, which would make my work inaccessible to those without money. If you are able to offer money from a place of true willingness or joy, please do that. If you can’t, you are still welcome to join my group coaching calls regardless of your ability to offer money
